Mid New Jersey ASTD Chapter receives National Honor  The American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) recognized the Mid New Jersey Chapter for its submission to the ASTD “Sharing Our Success” (SOS) program. The national SOS program identifies best practices among local ASTD chapters and uses them as models for other chapters.

Jennifer Tomarchio, Chair of ASTD's Chapter Recognition Committee, said "This recognition honors the Chapter's best practice in analyzing financial risks for large Chapter events and demonstrates its commitment to managing a successful organization."

Nominations for the first annual Kirkpatrick Excellence in Learning Evaluation Award will continue through Q1, 2012.

In honor of Doctor Don Kirkpatrick’s contributions to the field of workplace learning and performance, the Mid New Jersey ASTD Chapter has established the Kirkpatrick Excellence in Learning Evaluation Award. This award is designed to honor an organization that is committed to implementing evaluation of workplace learning initiatives to:

• Identify whether or not the training initiative should be continued.
• Determine if and how the training can be improved.
• Validate the value of the training and those that are responsible for its success.
